Job Description
As a product designer, you will work in a product delivery team tied to UX, engineering, product and data talent. You will help the team create beautiful interfaces that will solve the business challenges for our customers. We work with many Tier 1 banks to develop web applications for AML, KYC, and sanctions list management workflows. This role is ideal if you want to move your career into the FinTech or Big Data arenas.
Main responsibilities
- Participate in every step of the product design cycle from discovery to developer handover and user acceptance testing.
- Work with bachelors, product managers, and technology teams to lead product design
- Maintain the quality of the design process and ensure that when converting designs to code, they accurately meet design specifications.
- Accurately evaluate design tickets during planning sessions.
- Participate in sketching sessions with non-designers. Create, replicate, and maintain UI results, including sketch files, style guides, high-precision prototypes, micro-interaction specifications, and template libraries.
- Make sure the design choices are data based on the assumptions of each sprint test, and work with your team of analysts to plan moderated aptitude tests.
- Create a pixel-responsive user interface and understand that UX is better at using common interface models than reinventing the wheel
- Present your work to a wider business in Show & Tell sessions.
Skills and experience
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a product designer.
- You have experience using Sketch and InVision or Framer X.
- You have experience working in a busy environment – think of two-week sprints.
- You are familiar with the use of Jira and Confluence in your workflow
